Think of it like this, you would use a power drill to put some screws in you wall to hang a shelf right? You wouldn't think of the power drill as cheating. I understood the workings not just what class to type which is a big difference. I wasn't unhappy about that though because I realized all I learned along the way that I would not have if I had just looked it up and added a class. One day I was forced to look at the BS documentation for something and realized I had written tons of CSS that already existed. Some of that CSS stayed specific to the client but I was always adding stuff to the core CSS that was installed with every theme if I thought it would be useful for other sites. I then spent all sorts of time writing all sorts of CSS that met the needs of several sites. So I looked at examples and I was really just looking for what's going to create the columns, be responsive etc. I learn through experimentation and sometimes brute force. I started using BS a few years ago to create a custom WP theme I could use for any design and quickly get it in place. This is a great answer and applies to most things.

I posted this in r/Web_Development as well just to see what both subs would say. I read too much reddit and lots of people say "just learn html & css" so I feel like I'm doing something bad. My teacher wants me to use it, so I will, and its helping since class seems to be going by real fast, but going forward should I quit using it at all? Do you guys count it as cheating? I will be the first one to admit I'm not good at making websites, they all look terrible, and I'm not sure. My issue is I've been having this real internal struggle about using this editor. So it's not like I know absolutely nothing about HTML & CSS, I'm just extremely far from an expert.

BOOTSTRAP STUDIO ISTRUCTION MANUAL CODE

I've been doing some work on HTML & CSS way prior to this, I can make a site on my own (it will look like shit but I can make one) without bootstrap, I can make one with just bootstrap, actually writing the code into VS code/Brackets (but I have to look up the code I need as I don't have it memorized yet) and I understand the idea of CSS and its hierarchy and such. My teacher is highly recommending we use Bootstrap Studio to do the overall work and tie in some Javascript (we need 5 scripts at least).
